The Position This is a full-time office position.
Shake Guys is seeking an Estimator and Claims Specialist who has a strong experience working with roofing and construction estimates, preferably a candidate who is extremely knowledgeable with the insurance claims process as it relates to storm damage to roofing and general residential exterior and interior construction repairs.
The ideal candidate must have experience working within Xactimate estimating software, understanding general restoration scopes of work, pricing, and the ability to write detailed estimates.
You will analyze company and insurance estimates written within Xactimate.
Your key responsibilities will be to evaluate residential insurance estimates as it relates to the replacement and repair of cedar shake and asphalt roofing as well as minor exterior and interior construction trades.
You must have good judgement to make appropriate estimate revisions and experience writing supplemental estimates which will be presented to the insurance carrier.
Good communication skills are needed to effectively discuss, negotiate, and finalize an agreed upon scope of work with an insurance adjuster.
You will work hand in hand with several of our sales associates, collecting detailed job information which will assist you in writing a final corrected supplemental estimate outlining the scope of work for roof replacements and other exterior restoration repairs.
An in-depth, hands-on, proactive approach will be necessary in helping resolve all supplemental estimates presented to an insurance carrier, daily communication will be required with company Office Managers, Sales Representatives, Production and Account Receivable Department.
This role involves several outbound calls and will require exceptional phone, email, and customer service skills.
Additional responsibilities will include the performance of other general office tasks to help assist with keeping a consistent workflow within the company.

Starting Salary, $68,000 to $75,000 depending on experience and proficiency Full-time position with weekly pay Medical BC/BS health plan 401k matching plan Voluntary dental and vision Insurance PTO, vacation and holiday pay Coaching & training provided Estimator / Claims Specialist duties and responsibilities Review, analyze and prepare accurate detailed estimates written in Xactimate, outline correct scopes of work, execute strategies and revisions to help improve profit margins Conduct a thorough review of all subcontractor bids to be added to final estimates Prepare detailed scopes of work with itemized cost breakdowns to substantiate repairs Complete, update, and track estimates and supplement progress on a daily basis Communicate and negotiate effectively with insurance adjusters to resolve estimates Collaborate with company sales, production & account receivable departments Maintain and enter updated information daily, into a CRM and Excel data base Update account receivable department regarding final approved estimates/supplements Meet deadlines and close out completed files for the company and insurance carrier Assist accounts receivable with detailed questions regarding your estimates Produce, and update weekly and monthly reports for management Engage positive and good communication and feedback with customers and office staff Candidate Requirements:
