Responsibilities Include supporting the Billing Account Manger in the following tasks Verification of Benefits & authorization requests and communicating with patients and providers regarding benefits.
Payment posting and review.
Following up with insurance companies on unpaid and denied claims & working through the appeals process.
Accurate data entry of all benefit and demographic information into clients practice management system.
Handle the initial billing to insurance companies.
Patient statement cycle support.
Ensuring that charges and claims are billed correctly based on government and commercial guidelines.
Maintain HIPAA compliance This is a Remote position, so you MUST have a private space within your home to work.
There may be onsite meetings occasionally and initial training.
Previous background in healthcare is necessary.
Understanding of LCD, NCDs, and commercial policies is essential.
Familiarity with HIPAA and OIG compliance is expected.
Experience in Behavioral Health billing is advantageous.
Experience with Therapy Appointment is a plus.
Only local Illinois residents will be considered.
